are you liberated or limited

Are you liberated or limited by your ‘self identity’?

All that we are and, all that we have, physically and emotional, are a result of our self identity.

So what is your identity, in your thinking?

If you could actually stand in someone else's shoes,  to hear what they hear, see what they see, and feel what they feel, you would honestly wonder what planet they live on, and be totally blown away by how different their "reality" is from yours.  You'd also never, in a million years, be quick to judge again.

Your identity is what you believe about yourself, usually subconsciously, with unawareness.  Very often a good portion of how we identify with ourselves has been formed from when we were children and reinforced through our teenage years.  As adults we are basically limited or liberated by what we believe our identity to be.  What we believe our potential to be.  What we believe we are good enough for or worthy of.  There is a massive disparity from one person to the next with regard to their personal limits or liberations in line with our identities.

Becoming profoundly and deeply aware of how you identify yourself is extremely empowering.

It allows us the opportunity to re arrange our self identity to create freedom from the things that otherwise would limit us unnecessarily.

To get some indication of what your self identity is, observe your life.

  • ·         The people you have in your life.
  • ·         The material objects you surround yourself with.
  • ·         The food you eat.
  • ·         The clothes you wear.
  • ·         The language you use and things you take interest in.
  • ·         The money you do or don’t have.
  • ·         Your health.
  • ·         Your habits or addictions
  • ·         Your goals and aspirations.

As an exercise, imagine if you could pick and choose anything you wanted to have in your life with no limits, what would those things be?  Make a list.

When you have a list, compare it to what you do have in your life and notice where the differences are.

Try to imagine what kind of identity you would need to have in order to manifest those things you imagined into your life.  Is that identity different to the one you currently associate yourself with?  You have the ability to choose.
